  funding\, time\, or expertise and that facilitate stakeholder engagement 
 in developing countries. This study aims to address such challenges by dev
 eloping a stepwise participatory modeling framework to link physically-bas
 ed models with stakeholder-assisted socio-economic models in the context o
 f developing countries\, using the Rechna Doab region of Pakistan as a cas
