 nnaires’ disease. This bacterium can survive for an extended period in fre
 shwater without suitable host or nutrient and be transmitted to human thro
 ugh inhalation of contaminated aerosols. Many virulence genes and how they
  contribute to the pathogenicity of Lp have been discovered over the years
 . However\, little is known about the molecular basis of its ability to re
 main viable in water under nutrient limitation. Therefore\, this thesis ai
 ms at identifying important genes for Lp to survive in water.\n\nEveryone
