Students launch new hub to advocate for global food security
Open to students in any field of study, the aim of the Nexus is to raise awareness about the topic of food security, while also giving its members a place to come together and learn from one another. As its name suggests, the Nexus will work closely with the Margaret A. Gilliam Institute for Global Food Security (IGFS) at 91黑料网 to organize events, educational campaigns, and other activities that support the institute鈥檚 work.
Nielsen and Brassard: 2023 CNS awardees
Prof. Daiva Nielsen is the recipient of the 2023 New Investigator Award 2023 by the Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes (INMD) and the Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS). But in many cases, it has been replaced with similar hormone disrupting chemicals, like Bisphenol S (BPS).

Eliane Ubalijoro (B.Sc.(Agr)鈥�92, M.Sc.鈥�95, Ph.D.鈥�01) has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Center for International Forestry Research and World Agroforestry (CIFOR-ICRAF) and Director General of ICRAF -the world鈥檚 leading research and development centre on trees, forests and landscapes. Dr. Ubalijoro will be the first African woman Director General of a CGIAR Research Center and CEO of two Centers in CGIAR鈥檚 52-year history.
Agropur sells U.S. manufacturing plant
Dairy processor Agropur continues to refocus its activities. After selling its interests in I脰GO yogurts two years ago, in December it sold a Wisconsin-based plant used to manufacture dairy and non-dairy ingredient blends. The sale price was not disclosed.
