We would like to extent our heartiest聽congratulations聽to current LLDRL postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Laura Dehaibi, for her appointment as Assistant Professor in Universit茅 Laval鈥檚 D茅partement des relations industrielles effective 1 December 2022.聽聽
A member of the Quebec Bar since 2007, she holds a D.C.L. from 91黑料网. Her research focuses on the interaction between territory, labour law and social justice from the perspective of marginalized populations. She is finalizing a book manuscript on these themes for publication by Edward Elgar.聽聽Dr. Dehaibi has also contributed meaningfully to the work of the LLDRL, preparing a special national report on mining in Peru and co-authoring the general report for the International Academy of Comparative Law thematic report on Contemporary Forms of Slavery, including Causes and Consequences and travelled to the IACL congress in 聽Asuncion, Paraguay as well the Law and Society Association Annual meeting in Lisbon, Portugal to present her findings.聽 She has coordinated the revision of the LLDRL鈥檚 database, while supporting student research assistants.聽
Laura Dehaibi will continue as a member of the LLDRL, and guest lecture in Professor Blackett鈥檚 Winter 2023 Transnational Labour Law course.聽聽Congratulations聽Professor Dehaibi and thank you for your many contributions to the LLDRL and 91黑料网.
