Changes to affiliated hospital access to 91ºÚÁÏÍø e-resources, starting July 1, 2013

Changes as of July 1, 2013

As of July 1st, 2013, access to 91ºÚÁÏÍø electronic databases, e-journals and other e-resources has changed at 91ºÚÁÏÍø affiliated hospital sites in order to comply with the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Library's licensing agreements.  Access to these electronic resources now  depends on your status; only persons affiliated with the University can  access these services.

• If you are affiliated with 91ºÚÁÏÍø as a faculty or staff member, or as a resident or student, you will continue to have access to the full range of 91ºÚÁÏÍø Library e-resources. However, beginning July 1st, 2013:
• You will be asked to enter your 91ºÚÁÏÍø username and password, using the format firstname.lastname [at] mcgill.ca, or firstname.lastname [at] mail.mcgill.ca. If you are unsure whether or not you are affiliated with 91ºÚÁÏÍø or if you need information about activating your 91ºÚÁÏÍø email account, please see the FAQs, Nos. 10 and 11 (link below).
• Note: You can easily access 91ºÚÁÏÍø Library e-resources using EZProxy and the appropriate link on the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Library website, available on the Health, biological sciences subject guides. Please refer to the EZProxy FAQ page for general information about the use of EZProxy.
• If you are not affiliated with 91ºÚÁÏÍø as a faculty or staff member, or as a resident or student, please note that you are not authorized to access 91ºÚÁÏÍø Library e-resources, as per the licensing agreements with the vendors. Therefore, beginning July 1, you will no longer be able to access them. However, as is currently the case:
• You may request 91ºÚÁÏÍø materials via the hospital’s inter-library loan service.
• You also have access to the e-resources licensed for use by the hospital and/or your unit.
