DESCRIPTION:For the 14th annual Institute of Jurilinguistics\, the Paul-And
 ré Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law and the three other Cana
 dian centres of jurilinguistics — the Centre for Legal Translation and Doc
 umentation (Ottawa)\, the Centre de traduction et de terminologie juridiqu
 es (Moncton) and the Centre de ressources en français juridique (Saint-Bon
 iface) — will join the 91ºÚÁÏÍø School of Continuing Studies to host the Rea
 lities of Jurilinguistics in Canada.\n\nThis bilingual event will explore 
 the daily realities of professionals balancing language and law in Canada\
 , with sessions offered by specialists from diverse sectors related to jur
 ilinguistics on topics such as:\n\n\n	Issues related to terminology and tec
 hnology\n	Issues related to bilingualism and bijuralism\n	Protection and rec
 ognition of Indigenous languages in Canada\n	Questions related to judicial 
 interpreting in non-official languages in Canada\n	Recruitment and training
  of jurilinguists\n\n\nFrom Yukon to Newfoundland and Labrador\, our guest
  speakers will each have five minutes to describe a specific aspect of jur
 ilinguistics\, highlighting the geographical\, professional and institutio
 nal diversity of a field where a wide range of issues tend to intertwine\,
  intersect and overlap.\n\nWe will shine the spotlight on the many realiti
 es and nuances of jurilinguistics in Canada\, from bilingualism in Canadia
 n territories to access to legal information\, along with various issues c
 oncerning Indigenous languages\, language policy\, court interpreting\, te
