She contributes to analysis\, monitoring and adv ocacy on women\, peace\, and security issues at the UN Security Council an d in other UN and civil society spaces.\n\nHamid has previously worked wit h several organizations as a campaigner and coordinated trainings on human rights treaties\, mechanisms and advocacy. She has also worked with the A fghan Women's Network (AWN)\, Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC) and the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) and served as the civil society committee representative on the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Agai nst Women\, managed by UNWomen.\n\nIn addition\, she has advocated with th e Security Council and Human Rights Council on gender-based violence issue s and engaged with UN country teams in Nepal\, Afghanistan\, and Jordan on human rights\, political economy\, and militarism\, and community develop ment programmes and the implementation of UNSCR 1325.
