 ert on Indigenous issues in a Northern context.\n\nAbout the speaker\n\nA 
 graduate of 91ºÚÁÏÍø Law and Osgoode Hall\, Karina Kesserwan began her caree
 r in a boutique firm specialized in aboriginal law. She then served as pol
 icy advisor to two Quebec Ministers responsible for Aboriginal Affairs. He
 r responsibilities included the Plan Nord file\, the negotiations on the A
 greement on Governance in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay Territory\, and the 
 relationships with the federal and other provincial governments. Her exper
 ience has allowed her to travel extensively throughout Northern Quebec and
  build trusting relationships with political and social leaders of aborigi
 nal communities. She is a partner at Kesserwan Arteau in Montreal.\n
