 niversity\, will speak about some of his recent work\, which offers a crit
 ique of the Canadian Judicial Council’s complaints and discipline process.
 \n\nThis talk will be of interest to those interested in the study of ethi
 cs\, judicial institutions\, civil procedure\, and alternative modes of di
 spute resolution.\n\nA light lunch will be offered.\n\nAbout the speaker\n
 \nRichard Devlin's areas of teaching include Contracts\, Jurisprudence\, L
 egal Ethics and Graduate Studies. He has published widely in various journ
 als\, nationally and internationally.  Recent books include editing Critic
 al Disability Theory and Lawyers’ Ethics and Professional Regulation (2nd 
 ed. 2012).  In 2003\, and again in 2010\, he received the Hanna and Harold
  Barnett Award for Excellence in Teaching First Year.  In 2008 he was a re
 cipient of the Canadian Association of Law Teachers Award for Academic Exc
 ellence.  In 2013 he won Dalhousie University’s Centre for Teaching and Le
 arning “Change One Thing Challenge”.  He has been involved in the design\,
  development and delivery of Judicial Education programmes in Canada and a
 broad for more than 20 years.  In 2012 he agreed to serve as the Founding 
 President of the Canadian Association for Legal Ethics.  In 2015 he was in
 ducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. \n
