DESCRIPTION:The fourth event of the DCL Research Series\, where students fr
 om all levels are welcome\, will be a casual and very practical conversati
 on about comparative methodologies in law\, led by some experts in the fie
 ld: Kathy Bellefleur\, Adrien Habermacher\, Stéphanie Pépin\, Christopher 
 Whitehead and Hannah Roggendorf.\n\nEach of these doctoral candidates has 
 extensive theoretical knowledge of the field and will come prepared to sha
 re it\, but their focus will be on the concrete issues/challenges/question
 s they faced while doing comparative law\, using a combination of civil la
 w\, common law and/or indigenous law. These range from finding sources in 
 a jurisdiction or legal system one is less familiar with\, to translating 
 them\, to finding counterparts to specific legal concepts\, to organizing 
 data in their thesis… and to much more!\n\nAfter very short presentations 
 by each\, we will break up into small groups that experts will join in pai
 rs\, to continue the conversation. This will be your chance to explore in 
 more depth a topic that was raised\, or to propose a new one that is relev
 ant to you. Each group will have the chance to meet with each pair of expe
