In the case of the access to drugs\, it can requ ire the adoption of strategic litigation aiming at the compulsory licensin g or the prevention of price abuse by patent holders. To illustrate this\, he will discuss a case of strategic litigation regarding breast cancer dr ugs.\n\nAbout the speaker\n\nCalixto Salomão Filho is a Visiting Professor of Law at Yale Law School. He is currently a Professor of Law at Universi ty of São Paulo Law School and a Professor of Law at the Institut de Scien ces Politiques (Sciences – Po)\, Paris\, as the Gide Loyrette Nouel Chair of Law and Development.\n\nHis areas of specialty are antitrust law\, econ omic law\, and legal theory. He is especially interested in the historical evolution of economic power structures and their impact on the  legal and economic realm\, as well as in the formulation of a comprehensive theory to understand and discipline these phenomena.
