Dr. Bohrer will challenge this consensus with examples of similar trib unals in every century since late-medieval times. These tribunals are show n to be doctrinally related (to each other\, as well as to contemporary IC L)\, since war crimes have been regarded as universal wrongs for centuries . He will reveal that ICL is not a post-WWII innovation\, but rather has a long past\, and discusses the central causes of the pretermission of this history. He will conclude with a consideration of the contemporary signif icance of ICL’s neglected past.\n DTSTART:20150925T170000Z DTEND:20150925T183000Z LOCATION:NCDH 202\, Chancellor Day Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 1W9\, 36 44 rue Peel SUMMARY:Before Nuremberg: Early International Criminal Tribunals URL:/law/channels/event/nuremberg-early-international- criminal-tribunals-254909 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
