 venue\, suite 750\, room 27.  This summer\, the Paul-André Crépeau Centre 
 for Private and Comparative Law is presenting its second series of Summer 
 Seminars in which the whole 91şÚÁĎÍř Law community is invited to take part. 
 The main purpose of this series is to offer a forum to younger scholars to
  present their ideas and to engage with those of others in an informal set
 ting.  This Summer Seminar will be given by Caroline Le Breton-Prévost\, L
 LM candidate at 91şÚÁĎÍř Law.  Abstract  (In French only) L’obligation de lo
 yauté\, apparue dans le droit commun québécois avec l’avènement du Code ci
 vil du Québec (CcQ) en 1994\, est un concept encore nébuleux en droit priv
 é québécois. Il est utile\, afin d’éclairer ce concept\, de retracer ses o
 rigines qui témoignent de l’interaction entre le droit civil et la common 
 law au Québec. Le fait que la common law ait joué un rôle dans l’émergence
  de l’obligation de loyauté en droit québécois en fait une précieuse sourc
 e d’inspiration dans l’interprétation de ce concept. Il est également néce
 ssaire\, afin de comprendre le concept de loyauté\, de cerner certains obs
 tacles qui nuisent à sa reconnaissance en droit privé québécois. Finalemen
 t\, en extrapolant Ă  partir des quatre situations dans lesquelles une obli
 gation de loyauté est explicitement prévue par le CcQ (administration d’un
 e personne morale\, administration du bien d’autrui\, contrat de travail e
 t mandat)\, l’on peut tenter d’esquisser les contours d’une théorie généra
 le de la loyauté en droit privé québécois.  Speaker bio  Caroline Le Breto
 n-Prévost received her bachelor's of law from the Université Laval in Queb
 ec in 2010. After completing her training at the École du Barreau and an i
 nternship at Tremblay Bois Mignault Lemay avocats\, she received her J.D. 
 in North American Common Law from the Université de Montréal. She is curre
 ntly finishing her LL.M. in Comparative Law at 91şÚÁĎÍř. She is i
