L. Yves Fortier\, PC\, CC\, OQ\, QC \, AdE\, LLD - Cabinet Yves Fortier\n Yves Fortier is a past President of t he London Court of International Arbitration and of the Canadian Bar Assoc iation. From 1984 to 1989\, he was a member of the Permanent Court of Arbi tration. From July 1988 until February 1992\, he was Canada’s Ambassador a nd Permanent Representative to the United Nations. In 1989\, he was Presid ent of the UN Security Council. From 1992 until 2008\, he was Chairman of Norton Rose and then Chairman Emeritus until he began practicing as an ind ependent mediator/arbitrator. From 2012 to 2015\, Mr. Fortier was Chairman of the Sanctions Board of the World Bank. In 2013\, Mr. Fortier was appoi nted to Canada’s Security and Intelligence Review Committee and sworn in a s a member of the Privy Council. In August 2016\, he was appointed Chairma n of the Enforcement Committee of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).\n\nPierre Bienvenu\, AdE - Global Co-Head of Internat ional Arbitration\, Senior Partner Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP\n Mr. B ienvenu is a disputes lawyer with more than 30 years' experience\, practis ing in international commercial arbitration\, corporate and commercial lit igation\, and constitutional law. He has acted as counsel in numerous dome stic and international arbitrations\, both ad hoc and institutional. Mr. B ienvenu regularly serves as arbitrator in international arbitrations and h as experience as sole arbitrator\, party-appointed arbitrator and chairman of the tribunal. A former co-chair of the IBA’s Arbitration Committee\, h e is a an alternate member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration a nd a former member of the LCIA Court\, of which he was also a vice-preside nt. Until recently\, he served as president of the LCIA’s North American U sers’ Council. In 2013\, he was presented with the Paul-André Crépeau Meda l for his contribution to the international dimension of private law and c ommercial law in Canada.\n\nCaline Mouawad - Partner\, Chaffetz Lindsey LL P\n Ms. Mouawad handles arbitrations involving claims and disputes relating to public and private international law issues\, bilateral investment tre aties\, breach of contract\, financial transactions\, and privatization ag reements. She is involved in complex arbitrations in a variety of sectors including insurance\, telecommunications\, oil and gas\, energy and patent licensing. She has worked under the arbitration rules of several institut ions\, including the ICC\, ICSID\, LCIA\, ICAC and AAA\, as well as in ad hoc cases under the UNCITRAL Rules. Since February 2018\, Ms Mouawad has s erved as a Vice Chair of the ICC’s Commission on Arbitration and ADR. Cali ne obtained her J.D. degree from Harvard Law School and her Bachelor of Ar ts degree from Rice University.
