Since 1992\, the majori ty of his practice has involved unravelling wrongful convictions. Mr. Lock yer is a founding director of the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Co nvicted (AIDWYC)\, a Canada-wide organization that advocates for the wrong ly convicted.\n\n Selwyn A. Pieters has appeared at all levels of courts\, including the Supreme Court of Canada in Fraser v. Ontario and Quebec (Com mission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse) v. Bombard ier Inc. (2015). Prior to entering private practice\, Pieters was a Refuge e Protection Officer at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.\n\n Ev elyn Maeder is the Director of the Institute of Criminology and Criminal J ustice at Carleton University in Ottawa.
