It is also the ‘distinguishing characteristic of a fidu ciary’. In EU law\, loyalty has formed since the beginning the shape and r each of the EU legal order. Interestingly\, even though the corresponding obligations have become more inclusive over time (notable extending to bea r upon the EU institutions)\, this principle has never left the institutio nal and international arena.\n\nWith the increased relevance of EU law dir ectly for individuals\, this has created a lacuna in legal protection of i ndividuals against an authority which is not legally bound to their intere sts. The Inuit (Seal Products) case law present an important example for s howing the problems that the current situation creates.\n\nEljalill Tausch insky will introduce the EU law duty of loyalty\, and explain its place in this unconventional legal system. She will compare the EU law duty of loy alty to a fiduciary duty of loyalty to highlight its peculiar role as well as the need for reform.\n\nPrière de confirmer sa présence d'ici le 12 ja nvier 2016 en écrivant à centre.crepeau [at] mcgill.ca\n DTSTART:20160115T163000Z DTEND:20160115T180000Z LOCATION:NCDH 316\, Chancellor Day Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 1W9\, 36 44 rue Peel SUMMARY:Loyalty in EU law URL:/law/fr/channels/event/loyalty-eu-law-256793 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
