Synaptic Plasticity Journal Club

Synaptic plasticity journal club

The Synaptic Plasticity Journal Club: seeking new members.

Audience

Graduate students, post-docs and PIs in any departments related to neuroscience are welcome to join. Minimal knowledge of synaptic plasticity such as long-term potentiation is assumed. The main goal is to share interests about synaptic plasticity, in a casual, social, and intellectual setting..

Topics

Members will be asked to volunteer and present their own experimental results or any peer-reviewed article in one of the following topics, as long as it is focused on the mechanisms of synaptic plasticity:

  • Molecular Mechanisms: NMDA or AMPA receptors functionality and trafficking, synaptic scaffolding proteins, molecular motors, epigenetics, etc.
  • Cellular Mechanisms: Dendritic re-organizations, adult neurogenesis, cellular reconsolidation, etc. etc.
  • Systemic Mechanisms: Neural Networks, interactions between brain regions, theta rhythms, etc.

Schedule

A new meeting schedule will be announced in due course
