 s workshop will cover the process of preparing your first academic publica
 tion. We will focus on questions like:·         the differences between a 
 seminar paper\, a conference paper\, an article\, and a book chapter·     
     how much time to set aside·         selecting a journal·         heari
 ng from reviewers·         dealing with rejection·         incorporating r
 eviewer feedbackThis workshop will be held online on Tuesday April 23\, 20
 24\, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Registrants will receive the Zoom link in a

 . We will focus on single-authored publications\, which are most common in
  the social sciences and the humanities\, though some of the information m
 ay be useful for students in other fields.This workshop will be led by Dr.
  Amanda Perry who holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from New York Univ
 ersity. She has taught literature at NYU and Concordia\, and she has multi
 ple academic publications in peer reviewed journals and edited volumes.
