But how should you respond to the va rious and sometimes contradictory comments of the peer reviewers? Peer rev iew is an essential part of the publishing process\, but it can be difficu lt to navigate effectively. In this workshop\, we will run through the dif ferent responses you might receive from a journal\, from 'accept with mino r revisions' to 'reject\, revise\, and resubmit'. We will discuss how to t ackle reviewers' comments\, from minor quibbles to requests for new result s. And we will discuss how to craft convincing responses to reviewers and editors.  The goal of the workshop is to help you move from receiving a pe er review to seeing your article in print.  Learning Outcomes Participants will learn the following: How to understand the level of revision require d  How to approach revisions and reconcile different requests from reviewe rs How to effectively respond to editor and reviewers Instructions You wil l have the chance to ask questions and to discuss comments you have receiv ed. Please note down either one or two difficult comments or requests you received from a reviewer or editor. Or\, if you don't yet have a paper in review\, come with one or two questions about the process that you would l ike to ask.  Facilitator The workshop will be led by Anna Winterbottom. An na holds degrees from the universities of Oxford and London and has held f ellowships at 91ºÚÁÏÍø\, the University of Sussex\, and the European Univers ity Institute. She has published a monograph\, two edited books\, and more than a dozen peer reviewed articles and book chapters. She has also revie wed articles for more than ten academic journals\, as well as book manuscr ipts for OUP and funding applications.
