 ate graduate work\, at any stage of your studies. If you have ever questio
 ned how to engage with the media as an academic\, this workshop is for you
 . Join us to learn about:  Bridging your academic work and ideas with the 
 media through opinion piecesChoosing what to include in an opinion piece W
 riting an opinion piece Pitching an opinion piece to the media  To get the
  most out of this workshop\, come prepared with an idea and some notes (or
  a rough draft) that you would like to develop into a publishable opinion 
 piece. No experience necessary.  This workshop will be held online on Thur
 sday\, July 15\, 2021\, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Registrants will receiv
 e the Zoom link in a confirmation e-mail. This workshop will be led by Sus
 an Mintzberg\, a PhD candidate in the School of Social Work at 91ºÚÁÏÍø. She
  contributes regularly to the media with numerous opinion pieces published
  in a variety of Canadian newspapers\, including The Toronto Star\, The Mo
 ntreal Gazette\, and La Presse\, and radio interviews including on CBC The
  Current. In 2021\, she was awarded the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Principal's Prize for Publi
