DESCRIPTION:This event is part of our My Neighbour’s Faith series\, which h
 elps students develop religious literacy by offering trips to various fait
 h centres in Montreal. These visits provide participants with an opportuni
 ty to experience diverse traditions firsthand\, to learn about a religion 
 from those who practice it\, and to build interfaith community connections
 .The Hindu Mission is the oldest Hindu temple in Montreal. Offering daily 
 worship as well as special pujas and services\, the temple (or mandir) rep
 resents a space for faith\, learning and community service. A free communi
 ty meal is offered after worship every Sunday.Details:We will meet outside
  the Hindu Mission (955 Rue De Bellechasse\, near Rosemont metro station) 
 at 12:15pm sharp to be able to enter as a group. In consideration of our h
 osts\, please be on time.Please dress professionally\, keeping in mind tha
 t absolutely no leather is allowed in the Hindu Mission (e.g. shoes\, bags
 \, belts).Please note that participants will be asked to remove their shoe

 event concludes.Part of the 'My Neighbour’s Faith' series of visits to rel
 igious organizations and sacred sites around Montreal to learn about diffe
 rent faith traditions\, observe a religious practice\, and ask questions o
 f community members. After a guided visit\, participants join members of t
 his congregation for a community meal followed by a Q&A to gain a better u
 nderstanding of the meaning of music in this holiday for members of this f
 aith community. Through exposure\, dialogue and experiential learning\, st
 udents who participate in these visits become better equipped to live harm
