This se minar will focus on alternative funding sources for graduate students in n euroscience and related disciplines.Other topics will include: traditional funding sources (federal\, provincial\, and internal)\, how to choose whi ch scholarships to apply for (e.g.\, stacking\, quotas\, estimating expect ed value)\, common pitfalls (e.g.\, internal/external deadlines\, departme ntal nomination\, where not to look for scholarships)\, and overcoming com mon excuses (low GPA\, no publications\, not enough time). The seminar wil l feature stories of 91ºÚÁÏÍø graduate students who obtained substantial fun ding through traditional and alternative sources. The seminar will be led by Jay Olson\, M.Sc.\, a PhD candidate in Psychiatry at 91ºÚÁÏÍø.
