DESCRIPTION:Through this highly interactive workshop\, graduate students an
 d post docs will work across effective methods for communication and chall
 enge themselves to consider potential obstacles when communicating cross-c
 ulturally. Students will leave this session with a toolkit of useful commu
 nication strategies\, including methods for active listening.This workshop
  will also include role play situations related to common communication ch
 allenges graduate and post-doctoral students may encounter during their ac
 ademic career.Campus Life & Engagement’s leadership development area is ac
 tively providing resources\, building facilitation skills\, developing lea
 dership skills\, and creating meaningful personal connections. We encourag
 e the students to use these resources to build the skills they need and to
  get involved on campus and/or in the Montreal community to practically us
 e them.Our workshops are usually student-facilitated by members of the ACC
 E Team. ACCE is a group of 91ºÚÁÏÍø student volunteers that help their peers
  develop their leadership and get involved on campus or in the community. 
 This workshop will be co-facilitated by staff from CL&E.
