You are responsible for travel ing to and from the Hindu Mission. The closest metro station is Beaubien ( orange line)\, and the STM Bus #30 North also passes nearby. Please bring your OPUS card or metro fare.Dress code: There is no specific dress code. However\, please note that most community members will be wearing modest c lothing in good condition. It is recommended for women to have a scarf wit h which to cover the head.Personal items: Please keep your personal items to a minimum as you will need to leave large bags in the cloakroom. We rec ommend a small bag or large pockets for essential valuables (wallet\, phon e) which you can keep on your person during the worship services.Gender: T his community practices gender separation based on male-female identities. Both the prayer space and the washrooms are gender-specific. The dining h all is mixed. If you have concerns about navigating the space\, please con tact MORSL to discuss alternative arrangements.Allergies: This community m akes use of incense and other scented materials in the rituals. This event may not be suitable for people with severe allergies to scent. Additional ly\, food is prepared in a community kitchen where food allergies may not be easily accommodated. Please know that you are not required to eat the m eal in order to participate in the Q&A session. What to expect about parti cipating on site:You will need to remove your footwear (you can keep your socks on) and leave your boots\, coats and any large bags such as backpack s in the cloakroom.You will need to wash your hands before entering the pr ayer room.A small ritual portion of grain-based food (prasad) is served at the end of prayers. You are not required to take this offering.Seating in the prayer area is on a carpeted floor. Some chairs are also available ar ound the perimeter of the room as needed. Prayer rituals involve both sitt ing and standing.A vegetarian lunch will be provided in the dining hall af ter the prayers. You are not required to eat the meal. You may still join the group in our conversation over lunch to exchange with community member s and ask questions.There may be an opportunity to help with cleaning up t he dining hall for any students who wish to volunteer a few minutes of the ir time after this event.If you need to leave earlier than 3:00 PM\, pleas e advise MORSL staff.
