The ultimate aim is to foster excellence through the applicat ion and dissemination of innovative and effective educational methods. The focus may be on teaching methods applicable to classrooms\, simulations o r clinical settings\, provided they have the potential to enhance the medi cal school experience.\n\nFor the 2021-22 cycle\, (uniquely)\, two awards of up to a maximum of $12\,000 each\, will be available. The support can b e applied to personal professional development (e.g. registration fee for skills-building workshops\, travel and tuition for specialized training) o r for a ‘mini-sabbatical’ (e.g. to secure protected time from clinical res ponsibilities). The award may also be used to support the training of an o utstanding young individual\, such as a junior faculty member\, who has de monstrated a particular aptitude and interest in educational scholarship. \n\nTo apply\, please submit:\n\n\n A copy of your CV\n A description (max. 2 pages) of your expertise in medical education\, with a focus on future p lans for the training you would like to pursue and how it is aligned with the promotion of excellence in the education of medical students and/or re sidents at 91ºÚÁÏÍø\n A letter from your department chair\, division or schoo l director or similar academic supervisor providing information on how the y see the impact of this proposal with respect to where the new knowledge and skills will be applied and how it may benefit your career\n A proposed budget\n\n\n\n The application should be single-spaced with a standard 1-in ch margin and in a 12-point font.\n\nThe selection criteria for this award include clarity of the proposal\; relevance and potential impact of the e ducational innovation\; appropriateness of the budget\, and\; the applican t’s commitment to educational excellence.
