DESCRIPTION:This award was created in order to contribute to scholarship an
 d educational excellence in the Faculty of Medicine through innovation and
  the support of effective methods of teaching and learning. \n\n\n\nThis a
 ward is designed to support a faculty member who wishes to learn and/or fu
 rther develop a skill which can be directly applied to the education of Mc
 Gill medical students and residents. This award may also be used to suppor
 t the training of an outstanding young individual\, such as a fellow or ju
 nior faculty member\, who has demonstrated a particular aptitude and inter
 est in the scholarship of teaching.  The subject of study may be new teach
 ing methods to be used in the classroom\, simulation laboratory or clinica
 l setting\, all of which have the potential to enhance the medical school 
 experience.  The award will be in the amount of $7\,000.  The support coul
 d be applied to professional development or to securing protected time fro
 m clinical responsibilities.\n\nDeadline for Applications\n\nThe deadline 
 for applications will be May 31\, 2019\, for funds to be awarded in Septem
 ber 2019.\n\nApplication Process\n\nTo apply\, please submit: (1) a copy o
 f your CV\; (2) a one-page description of your future plans in medical edu
 cation\; (3) a one-page description of what type of training/skill develop
 ment you would like to pursue – and how this experience and your expertise
  will help to promote innovation and excellence in medical education at Mc
