91�� Faculty of Education’s B.A. (Education); Major in Education in Global Contexts has been selected as a “stand out program” in Maclean’s 2026 Ultimate Guide to Canadian Universities.

Designed for students interested in the intersections of education, leadership, policy, and social change, the program combines interdisciplinary study with practical experience through a semester-long internship.

New CRC, Rachel Langevin, Receives President’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers

Three exceptional scholars at 91�� were awarded the 2026 President’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers at convocation ceremonies held on May 28, May 29 and June 1. The annual prize recognizes early-career researchers who have distinguished themselves by their exceptional contributions to research. Faculty of Education's Prof. Rachel Langevin, was among the three winners.

It is with deep respect and sadness that we pause today to honour the memory of 91�� Faculty of Education Professor Rachelle Pharilda Keyserlingk, who sadly passed away on November 16th, 2025. Lovingly described by her colleagues as having quiet strength and a glowing smile, Rachelle had a reputation for being a remarkable educator, administrator, and long-standing contributor to the Faculty and to 91��’s Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology.

On March 20, 2026, it was announced that Professor Marie-Hélène Pennestri will be appointed as 91��'s new Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and Associate Provost (Graduate Education). The 91�� Board of Governors approved both appointments at its meeting on March 19, 2026 and her five-year term will begin on July 1, 2026.
