This talk will be followed b y a Q and A period.\n\nDr. Alessandra Renzi is Associate Professor\, Commu nication Studies at Concordia University. Dr. Renzi’s interdisciplinary wo rk explores the linkages and relays between media\, art and civic engageme nt through community-led research\, ethnographic studies and media project s. She has studied pirate television networks in Italy\, the surveillance of social movements in Canada after 9-11 and housing and data justice in I ndonesia. Her current research investigates how society’s increasing relia nce on platforms\, algorithms and AI is changing urban landscapes and comm unity organizing alike.
