FFF brings together scholars\, writers\, artists\, activists\, and makers work ing at the intersections of these three themes. Last Fall\, we hosted a 3 day conference at 91ºÚÁÏÍø's Institute for Gender\, Sexuality\, a nd Feminist Studies\, with more than 155 participants from Canada\, the Un ited States\, and Europe. The conference invoked a hybrid space for makers and scholars to cross-pollinate and inoculate each other with fermentable ideas.\n \n This convergence produced two special issues of an academic jou rnal (Cuizine: Journal of Canadian Food Cultures)\, which we are launching this Fall.< As part of our launch event (November 8th\, 6:00- 8:00PM\, at IGSF) for this special issue\, we wanted to celebrate all things open acc ess and public scholarship. In particular\, we wanted to explore critical approaches to publishing practices\, including what a 'feminist publishing ' might look like.\n \n Our Panel:\n Amy Buckland is Head of Research & Schol arship at the University of Guelph\, and the Canadian lead for Creative Co mmons.\n \n Stéphanie Dufresne of Librairie l'Euguélionne holds a degree in feminist studies from Concordia University and works with the publishing a nd printing collective Possibles Éditions.\n \n Zoe Wake Hyde is the assista nt director of the Rebus Foundation\, a non-profit reimagining the publish ing ecosystem on open principles. She holds a Masters degree in Publishing from Simon Fraser University\n \n Our moderator\, Corina MacDonald is a PhD student in Communication Studies at Concordia University\, and holds a Ma sters degree in Library and Information Science from 91ºÚÁÏÍø.\n \n The event will be catered by Sotta.
