Program Description
The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Thesis) offered by the School of Communication Sciences & Disorders in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences is a research-intensive program that provides a foundation for creative research and scientific problem-solving in human communication sciences (speech, language, hearing, voice, swallowing) in typical and atypical populations.聽
The M.Sc. (thesis) program equips students with basic skills in literature review, research design, experimental methods and scientific communication to either continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities. This program is appropriate for students who want to focus on research rather than clinical work in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders, as well as students with professional qualifications who want basic research training in the field (without doing a Ph.D.).

This covers fundamental and applied research on topics such as speech and language production and perception, language neuroscience, to investigations of the effectiveness of clinical intervention;
- Faculty mentors have strong international profiles with interdisciplinary research collaborations within 91黑料网 (Psychology, Linguistics, Education, Biomedical Engineering, Neurology/Neurosurgery, and Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery) and as part of Montreal-area research networks (Centre for Research on Brain, Language, and Music, Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montr茅al).
