 l explore the stigma and current state of Black mental health in Canada\, 
 highlighting both best practices and the biases that shape clinical care. 
 Through real-life examples\, we’ll examine how Black individuals navigatin
 g psychological concerns may experience dismissal\, gaslighting\, or misin
 terpretation of their symptoms—often rooted in systemic and practitioner-l
 evel bias. We will also discuss how clinicians’ assumptions can influence 
 diagnosis and treatment\, particularly when lived experiences of racism ar
 e minimized or overlooked.\n\nThe event is a collaboration between the McG
 ill University Department of Family Medicine’s Equity\, Diversity and Incl
 usion Committee and Concordia University’s Black Perspectives Office.\n\nP
