Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a Canadian first-year PhD student, who loves travelling and experiencing new foods and ways of living.

What inspired you to pursue graduate studies in Family Medicine?

After completing my Master鈥檚 thesis on the experience of coping with a miscarriage, I wanted to continue research on this topic to improve the acknowledgement, support and care for those who experienced this loss.

What areas of primary care or research are you most passionate about?

I am most interested in learning from people鈥檚 experiences, in particular women鈥檚 health and pregnancy loss, to understand how their health can be better supported.

Do you have any goals for your time here that you hope to achieve?

I hope to meet a lot of people and learn more about how research is conducted.

What are you most excited (or nervous) about as you begin this new chapter in your graduate studies?

I am most excited and nervous about meeting new people, I am more introverted and am never sure what to say.

What would you like to do after you graduate/ what are your career goals?

I think I would like to continue researching and am interested in potentially teaching.

What are your first impressions of Montreal?听

Montreal is beautiful and vibrant! I love that it is well connected and has a lot to do.

Do you have any Back to School hacks?

Always have snacks!

Best of luck Jayde Lee!
