DESCRIPTION:To honour the September 30thTruth and Reconciliation Day\, the 
 Office of First Nations and Inuit Education (OFNIE) will be closed.\n\n \n
 \nWe recognize that many in our OFNIE community – students\, colleagues\, 
 partners\, and friends – have been directly impacted by Residential School
 s\, either as survivors\, family members\, or members of the broader Indig
 enous community. Truth and Reconciliation Day day allows us a moment of co
 nscious attention to the way the Residential School system affects OFNIE’s
  daily work with our partners. We will pause all OFNIE classes and adminis
 trative work (including emails and advising) to reflect on the profound in
 justice of the Residential School system\, to grieve the losses of countle
 ss children\, and to continue to imagine the role OFNIE might have towards
  self-determination in our partnering communities. We will return to our t
 eaching\, advising\, and administrative work with renewed focus and determ
 ination on Friday\, October 1st.\n\n \n\nWith our partners\, Indigenous in
