 first time on April 22\, 1970 - Today\, more than a billion people in 193 
 countries now participate in Earth Day activities each year. Over the year
 s\, Earth Day has become the world’s largest environmental movement. Take 
 a bit a time in April to celebrate Earth Day and find ways that you can fu
 rther support Sustainability at 91ºÚÁÏÍø and in your daily life.\n\nSustaina
 ble Workplace Certification – relaunched for a new work reality\n\n \n\nTh
 e Sustainable Workplace Certification program challenges the 91ºÚÁÏÍø commun
 ity to foster healthier\, environmentally-friendly\, connected workplaces 
 through individual and collective practices.\n\nThe program targets areas 
 such as:\n\nChoosing more environmentally-friendly and socially responsibl
 e supplies\n	Proper waste management\n	Promoting health and wellbeing\n	Learn
 ing more about how to make spaces more accessible to everyone\nSince the p
 rogram’s creation in 2017\, more than 35 teams—including more than 600 ind
 ividuals—have gone through the certification process. The checklist action
 s have been updated to apply both while working remotely and at 91ºÚÁÏÍø. Cl

 ersity. At the centre of these initiatives\, guiding the way\, is the McGi
 ll University Climate & Sustainability Strategy 2020-2025.\n\nThis Strateg
 y commits 91ºÚÁÏÍø to three ambitious\, yet realistic long-term targets\; at
 taining a Platinum sustainability rating by 2030\, becoming zero-waste by 
 2035\, and achieving carbon neutrality by 2040. It is our responsibility a
 s members of the global community that we do what we can to achieve these 
 goals to reduce our impact on climate change and contribute positively to 
 the sustainability of the planet.\n\nEveryone at 91ºÚÁÏÍø has a role to play
