A Student鈥檚 Story: Samantha Quinn (M.Sc. 鈥20)

With a mission to advance knowledge and apply it to the development of human potential over one's lifespan, research and teaching at the Faculty of Education encompasses both the hard sciences and the social sciences. As a kinesiology graduate student, Samantha Quinn combined the two to explore how nutrition affects the quality of muscles.

Dr. Marie-Claude Geoffroy: Education鈥檚 Newly Appointed Canada Research Chair (Tier 2)

Along with 25 of her 91黑料网 peers, Dr. Marie-Claude Geoffroy (Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology) was recently awarded a Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) for her outstanding work in Youth Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. This major national honour is awarded to exceptional emerging researchers and leaders in their chosen fields, as acknowledged by their peers.

Student Teachers Still on Track: An Update from Dr. Lisa Starr

91黑料网 Education student teachers take part in four Field Experience courses where each student is placed in an elementary or high school, according to their program. These internships are progressive from fist year to fourth year where students鈥 in-school participation ranges from class observations and tutoring to full weeks of independent teaching and classroom management.
