Call for proposals: Master鈥檚 and Doctoral Scholar Awards

D2R launches a call for applications for the Master鈥檚 and Doctoral Scholar Awards funding program.

A foundational goal of D2R is to help cultivate the next generation of researchers. Being a D2R Scholar is the highest recognition available to D2R trainees and the awards recognize outstanding and active trainees performing research across all of D2R鈥檚 Foundational Axes.

The Master鈥檚 and Doctoral Scholar Awards both financially support excellent graduate students and provide them with leading-edge interdisciplinary and intersectoral training through the D2R Training Program.

Applicant eligibility:

• The proposed research project must be aligned with the overall goals of D2R and be tied to at least one of D2R鈥檚 Foundational Axes.
• At the time of application, applicants must:
  • Have a designated supervisor
  • Be registered full-time in the first year of a Master鈥檚 program (Master鈥檚 1) or in the first three years of a Doctoral program (PhD1-3) at 91黑料网 or one of D2R鈥檚 Partner Institutions (University of British Columbia, University of Ottawa, McMaster University, Universit茅 de Sherbooke, and Montreal Clinical Research Institute).
    • Students registered at a Partner Institution must be supervised by a D2R-eligible researcher.
  • Be Canadian or an international student with a valid study visa

Awards:

• Master鈥檚: $27,000 for 1 year (non-renewable)
• Doctoral: $40,000 per year for 2 years (possible 1-year renewal)
  • Successful renewal requires demonstration of both research progress and active participation in the D2R Training Program
