Organized with the support of the Kanien’keháka Onkwawén:na Raotitióh kwa Language and Cultural Centre\, 91ºÚÁÏÍø Faculties of Arts and Education\ , the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Indigenous Studies Program\, and 91ºÚÁÏÍø's Institute for the S tudy of International Development\, the purpose of this Symposium is to:\n \n(a) signal 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s commitment to Indigenous languages in this province and \n (b) examine more closely what role the University should play in sup porting the health of Indigenous languages\, locally and regionally.\n\nTh e Symposium will involve both closed-door and public sessions with the goa ls of establishing a broad consultative body on this question and developi ng a concrete plan of action for 91ºÚÁÏÍø to pursue.
