 ut the speaker:\n\nDr. Benjamin Croitoru joined 91ºÚÁÏÍø's Desautels Faculty
  of Management in 2000\, where he teaches introductory finance\, investmen
 ts and asset pricing at the undergraduate\, masters and doctoral level.\n
 \nDr. Croitoru's research has been concerned primarily with improving the 
 understanding of asset prices in the presence of the type of imperfections
  that occur in real-life (such as taxation\, differences in beliefs\, or p
 ortfolio constraints such as restrictions on short sales). He has presente
 d his research at the American Finance Association and the Western Finance
  Association meetings\, as well as other conferences and universities in E
 urope and North America. His research has been published in leading journa
 ls including the Journal of Financial Economics\, Management Science and t
 he Review of Financial Studies.\n\nDr. Croitoru currently serves as Associ
 ate Dean for Undergraduate Programs. He is also the Academic Director of t
 he 91ºÚÁÏÍø Personal Finance Essentials free online course\, which has attra
 cted over 200\,000 participants since it was launched in November 2019.\n
 \nThis session will provide:\n\n\n	An overview of 91ºÚÁÏÍø Personal Finance E
 ssentials (MPFE)\, a free\, online course offered in collaboration with RB
 C Future Launch and The Globe and Mail. MPFE is available in English and F
 rench and is taught by professors in the Desautels Faculty of Management. 
 The course covers budgeting\, borrowing\, real estate and beyond and was d
 eveloped to help Canadians improve their financial literacy.\n	An introduct
 ion to Investing: what are the main choices\, from stocks to bonds\, mutua
 l funds and GICs\, and most importantly\, what are the common mistakes tha
