Institut ions are tied to time and place\, and while relatively stable are subject to change\, sometimes gradually and sometimes more abruptly. Entrepreneurs hip\, or the construction of new organizations\, organizational forms\, an d markets both affects and is affected by institutions. We are interested in papers that speak to this relationship: How do institutions affect entr epreneurship\, and how does entrepreneurship affect institutions? Our pref erence is for empirical papers.\n\nExamples include but are not limited to :\n\n\n How do changes in regulatory\, normative\, or cognitive institution s create opportunities for entrepreneurship?\n In what ways can social move ments be generative of entrepreneurship? Do social movement actors engage in entrepreneurship to further their cause?\n How do entrepreneurs build in stitutional structures\, such as regulatory and quasi-regulatory regimes\,  that promote new organizations and markets?\n How do entrepreneurs draw on institutional logics to legitimate novel organizational forms? What entre preneurial opportunities exist in spheres characterized by conflicting log ics?\n How do entrepreneurs deploy cultural elements in their activities? C an symbolic and ceremonial action further their interests?\n\n\nWe are ope n to both qualitative and quantitative research designs and to a wide vari ety of contexts\, including:\n\n\n Institutions and entrepreneurship in eme rging markets.\n Institutions and entrepreneurship in the informal economy. \n Entrepreneurship amongst social groups that are institutionally marginal ized.\n Institutions and entrepreneurship in times of economic and social d isruption (political or economic crises\, mass immigration\, war\, famine\ , natural disasters\, etc.).\n\n\nConference Details\n The conference will be held from Thursday\, June 8 to Saturday\, June 10\, 2023 at the Desaute ls Faculty of Management\, 91\, Montreal\, Canada.
