Yet it is unclear how impact entrep reneurs approach the pursuit of profits given that their values center on creating social impact. Understanding this is important because impact ent repreneurs have a valuable role to play in addressing social problems but need to achieve financial sustainability. Drawing on an inductive\, qualit ative study\, we find that impact entrepreneurs perceive profits in one of three distinct ways (tainting\, constraining\, enabling) based on their v alues. Each values-based stance has important implications for their effor ts and creates different challenges. We also find that entrepreneurs use w hat we call “moral authenticity work” to address these challenges. Our stu dy contributes to scholarship on the role of entrepreneurship and values i n creating social impact.\n DTSTART:20231117T153000Z DTEND:20231117T170000Z LOCATION:Room 340\, Bronfman Building\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 1G5\, 1001 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:CSSO Speaker Series URL:/desautels/channels/event/csso-speaker-series-3525 45 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
