Professor Warut Khern-am-nuai named to Chair in Economics and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence

The Institut de valorisation des données (IVADO), with support from the Fonds de recherche du Québec, has created six new research chairs in artificial intelligence to advance knowledge and train the next generation of AI leaders.

Among the recipients is Professor Warut Khern-am-nuai, Associate Professor of Information Systems at the 91 Desautels Faculty of Management, who has been appointed to the Chair in Economics and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. His research will analyze the economic and social impacts of AI and propose ethical frameworks and recommendations to guide responsible adoption in business and public policy.

At 91 Desautels, Professor Khern-am-nuai also serves as Co-Director of the Retail Innovation Lab and Director of the “Managing Disruption: Analytics, Advanced Digital Technologies, and AI Initiative (AAAI).” His appointment highlights 91’s leadership in advancing research that bridges technological innovation with societal responsibility.
