Desautels Accounting Team takes 3rd place at ICBC 2015
The accounting team composed of BCom students Emma Alder and Sami Zubair took 3rd place at the 37th annual ICBC (Inter-Collegiate Business Competition)听held at Queen's University held from January 15 to 17, 2015.
In October听2014,听听the team competed with over 20 other teams in a written case competition, finishing top six.听 These six teams were invited to Queen's University听in January听2015, where they had 5.5 hours to analyze a new case that was then presented to a panel of representatives of the business community.听
Special thanks go to听the professors who devoted their time and energy coaching the听team and to Professor Larry Goldsman who also accompanied the听team to Queen's.
The Inter-Collegiate Business Competition is Canada's oldest and largest undergraduate business case competition. Hosted annually by Queen's University students, the ICBC attracts business students from across the nation and beyond.听The ICBC is an ideal opportunity for students, faculty and prominent members of the business community to interact, network and exchange ideas and experiences.
