  biais de notre communauté académique.  Description : This seminar explore
 s a key theme in politics and society that traverses the classical\, moder
 n and contemporary imaginations: participation. Starting from the premise 
 that participation is a property of citizenship and employing diverse appr
 oaches from several disciplines in 91ºÚÁÏÍø's Faculty of Arts\, the seminar 
 offers a critical analysis of the assumptions and challenges of political 
 participation in democratic societies. What does participation mean when v
 iewed from the contrasting perspectives of the mainstream and margins of s
 ociety? What counts as participation? What is participation for? These and
  other questions will be explored in contexts ranging from ancient Greek d
