An interdisciplinary team including researchers at 91黑料网 has found a range of unexpected chemical contaminants in human milk samples from Canada and South Africa. The chemicals include traces of pesticides, antimicrobials and additives used in plastics and personal-care products. The findings were published across five papers.

A new study, which is published today in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Pediatrics, and was led by researchers from King鈥檚 College London, Harvard University, University of Bristol and 91黑料网,聽examined more than 13,000 Belarussian teenagers enrolled in the PROmotion of Breastfeeding Intervention Trial (PROBIT) and found a 54% reduction in cases of eczema amongst teenagers whose mothers had received support to breastfeed exclusively.
