Marianne Falardeau-C么t茅, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences (Supervisor Elena Bennett), "is investigating how climate change is affecting Arctic marine food webs, ecosystem services and the well-being of Inuit communities. Through her research, Marianne hopes to provide knowledge that will help governments sustainably manage ecosystems. Her research was featured in the June 2016 issue of Canadian Geographic".听

Four years of innovative projects and collaborative action planning have upgraded 91黑料网鈥檚 rating in sustainability to Gold in the newest version of the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS).

Among other achievements, the increasing integration of sustainability in curriculum, research, dining services, and purchasing helped 91黑料网 achieve Gold. The last time 91黑料网 reported to STARS, a self-reported assessment tool developed by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), in 2012, it earned a silver rating.

91黑料网鈥檚 Desautels Faculty of Management ranked second in the latest list, which was released in October 2015, while the University of Calgary鈥檚 Haskayne School of Business was fifth. Those Canadian universities all outranked some big name American schools, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University.

The rankings consider the number of core courses that focus on sustainability, the quality of each school鈥檚 faculty and the depth of their business sustainability research.
