An inter-university collaboration led by Dr. Mark Lefsrud, Associate Professor in the Department of Bioresource Engineering, has received a $1.65 million research grant, to be distributed over six years, from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada鈥檚 (NSERC) Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) Program.

Call it a sign of the times: 91黑料网 will teach students how to grow the perfect pot plant starting next year.

91黑料网鈥檚 Diploma in Commercial Cannabis program launches in June and it鈥檚 meant to train biologists to cultivate cannabis, design strains, protect them against contaminants and understand the legal framework of Canada鈥檚 burgeoning weed industry.
