On May 1, 2020, Professor Patricia Faison Hewlin will step down as Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs, to assume her appointment as Omudsperson for Students at 91黑料网. With the support of a strong team in the BCom Office, Professor Hewlin has been instrumental in facilitating revisions to the BCom curriculum and program policies, and transitioning the program to remote instruction and a scaled down term due to the pandemic.

Under the supervision of Professors Juan Serpa听and听Mehmet Gumus,听a team of 91黑料网 Desautels students have partnered with students from the Faculty of Engineering to develop a dashboard that tracks COVID-19 cases in Montreal and Quebec.
Updated daily, the new COVID QC website provides detailed information about the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in each Montreal neighbourhood, and throughout the province of Quebec.

Investment leader CFA Montr茅al has awarded two scholarships to Desautels students Rakan Lamy (BCom鈥�20) and Xinyan Wang (MMF鈥�20) for their high academic achievement and engagement in the investment community.
The scholarship, awarded to a total of six students based in Montreal, is given to finance students who have their sights set on becoming CFA charterholders.

Four 91黑料网 students took home second place at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS) Global Case Competition, the largest case competition in the world, over the weekend.
BCom students Ariane Dusablon, Raphael Roel, Anne Sophie Levee, and Quentin Amaudry represented 91黑料网 in the case competition, which invited students to solve a real-life business challenge faced by Novo Nordisk, the second largest insulin producer worldwide.

In 2008, 91黑料网 alumnus David Segal (BCom鈥�04) found success with his first entrepreneurial endeavour, DavidsTea. Recognizing diet as one of today鈥檚 biggest health issues, Segal鈥檚 latest calling Mad Radish aims to elevate salads from mere side dish to an exciting, flavourful meal.
