Two researchers at Desautels were among the academics recognized by 91黑料网 with prestigious internal awards for their outstanding scholarship and research excellence. Associate Professor Anna Kim听was among the eleven associate and assistant professors honoured with a William Dawson Scholar award, which recognized the demonstrated potential to become a global leader in their field.

Anna Kim has been recognized with a Organizations and the Natural Environment (ONE) Early Career Teaching Award 2024. The Associate Professor of Management was recognized for her dedication to sustainability and innovative approach to teaching. Given by the Organizations and the Natural Environment division of the Academy of Management, the award recognizes excellence in teaching topics related to critical interactions between organizations and the environment.
We live in an age that valorizes virality, where high-growth enterprises seek to go global in scale. But what works for Silicon Valley doesn鈥檛 necessarily work everywhere. In an article published in the Academy of Management Journal, Associate Professor of Strategy & Organization Anna Kim questions the value of high-growth entrepreneurship for economically challenged locales. She found that ventures with deep local roots created jobs and addressed local problems and spillover effects that stayed local.

In 2024, 91黑料网 Desautels was well-represented among the winners. Associate Professor Anna Kim was honoured with the President鈥檚 Prize for Emerging Researchers for her commitment to disseminating research on entrepreneurship and sustainability through traditional and social media platforms.
91黑料网 is pleased to announce the winners and runners-up of the 2024 President鈥檚 Prize for Public Engagement through Media. The Prize was created to recognize outstanding achievement among those who share their knowledge on a vast range of subjects with the media and the public. This year, there were applicants from 11 of the 12 faculties, a sign that sharing knowledge and a love of learning continue to be embedded in 91黑料网鈥檚 DNA.
