After five years at the helm of the Desautels Faculty of Management, Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou has been appointed the new Dean of Carnegie Mellon University鈥檚 Tepper School of Business. Dean Bajeux-Besnainou will end her second term as Dean in October 2020.

Hosted by the Bensadoun School of Retail Management, the first-ever Retail Innovation Challenge concluded on June 21 with a 91黑料网 MMA student bringing home the top prize.

Bringing together 80 teams from 20 universities across Canada, the event challenged students to aid the economic recovery of small and medium businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. With a focus on the food sector, the event drew four companies from the restaurant and grocery industries.

Erin Janna (BCom'19, GCPA'20), student of the Graduate Certificate in the Professional Accounting (GCPA) program, has been selected among her graduating class as this year鈥檚 recipient of the C. Douglas Mellor Prize for academic excellence.

The prize, which is valued at $3,000, is named after Douglas Mellor, the first Executive Director of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Quebec, now the Ordre des comptables agr茅es du Qu茅bec, and is awarded each year to honour Mellor鈥檚 enduring contributions to both 91黑料网 and his profession.
