 anguage\, François Ost will reflect onwhat\nit means for something to be '
 untranslatable'. He will argue for\nthe necessarily imperfect character of
  translation (as is the case\nwith respect to language itself)\, dismissin
 g in this way two\nsimplifying theses: that of 'omnitranslatability' and t
 hat of the\nimpossibility of translation.\nAs a philosopher of law\, he wi
 ll then explore comparative law's\nparticular function as a type of transl
